Volunteering is an important and fun part of Little League! It is a great way to get to know other Little League families, your player's friends and to spend quality time with your player. Some of my best friends I met volunteering at Saratoga Little League. All families are required to volunteer 15 hours for Majors, AAA, AA and 10 hours for Farm and T-ball. Please review the attached descriptions for volunteer requirements and be prepared to pick your first three choices for volunteering on verification night.
Also, please remember to make copies of your driver’s license. It will cut down the amount of time it takes to get through the process!
We are excited for another year of baseball and look forward to seeing all of you Thursday!
Step 1: League boundary verification
Click here to check if your residence or school falls within the Saratoga LL boundaries. Enter residence or school address to verify if the result is Saratoga LL.
Step 2: Click button below to register your player(s)
Early Bird discounts of $25 per person ended on December 1, 2017 at midnight. Use the same registration link for all ages and skill levels. The forms will ask for grade and other information as you proceed.
Now that you have registered player(s) and paid the registration fees in Step 2, please take a look at the documentation needed to complete the process. All documents can be brought to verification night in January 2018 or can be uploaded beforehand in Step 4.
Step 3: Documents
We need a copy of the birth certificate of the player(s) and Proof of Residency documents (see "Residence-Eligibility" document). The "School Enrollment Form" can be used for verification of school's residence within league boundaries. For those that need "Regulation-IId" (Player playing in same league as qualified sibling), please fill out and sign.
All players must have the "Medical Release Form" filled and signed before upload. We will have the form filled out on verification night that you can sign when present.
Those who are not buying out of volunteering need to complete the "SLL Volunteer Background Check" form. We also need a copy of VALID driver's license for all adults who will be volunteering or working with players.
Step 4: Upload completed documents, proof of residency, IDs, etc.
Click here (opens a form in a new window) to upload copies of all documents.
Step 5: Show up for in-person verification night in January 2018
Email will be sent out as to the date, time and venue in January. In-person verification night is when we verify all the documents and forms are in order, and also verify uniform sizing, tryout evaluation slot timings, etc.
