Based on our Farm motto this year of “Learning, Sportsmanship and Fun,” we divided our season into three parts. For the first seven games, we encourage our coaches to develop their players, giving them “Commissioner Cup” points every time they assigned a different player to 1st or 2nd; batted through nine batters, made a defensive play or awarded a game ball. With every team exceeding 60 points, all our 38 Managers, Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Practice Coaches received an award that reads: “From the ranks of youngsters who stand now on the morning side of the hill will come the leaders, the future strength and character of the nation.”
We then hold a mini-pennant race working to compete with sportsmanship.
Our last (and most FUN) part of our season is a tournament that begins with nine randomly seeded teams and ends in June with two championship games. With two sets of (BIG) 1st and 2nd place trophies at stake, Farm is the place to be!
The entire Farm coaching team thanks you for the biggest win of all … the privilege of coaching --and learning with your kids.
